Hi Rob, I like this episode very much as it has a beautiful message. I have often felt lonely after migrating Australia in 2018 as I haven't had so many friends except my family, but luckily there is a big shopping centre near my place, and this shopping centre played an important part to keep me mentally healthy, and helped me feel a part of community.

Today, I had a coffee with one of my friend after a very long time in the shopping centre, and we had a very good conversation. This evening I had a chance listening this podcast thinking about how amazing and lucky it is to have this shopping centre near my place, and just wanted to visit your website to say what I feel about this episode. Thank you

Hi Rob,
This podcast gives me an insight into the origin of shopping centres and reminds me of something. When I first came to Australia, apart from shopping centres, I was very attracted by a giant professional store building, which is also a large single building and with a huge hammer logo and it could be easily recognized by passers-by from a distance. Of course it is Bunnings Warehouses, the hardware giant in Australia. To my surprise here you can get almost any hardware you want under a single roof and this is unimaginable in China. So for me, a DIY enthusiast, it is one of my favorite shops to go to. I guess Bunnings is an interesting story and I hope it deserves its own podcast which you can do in the future.
Many thanks for your wonderful sharing.

Hi Stven,
Many thanks for your comment. I am glad that you like my podcast. I looked up your city on the internet and it seems like a very beautiful place.
Regarding your question about career planning, I think it depends on what each person finds interesting. For example, some people might like to work with people and enjoy helping them, in which case being a teacher or a medical career might be a good idea. Others might prefer to work with their hands and become a tradesperson, such as an electrician. In Australia at the moment, we need more tradesmen and tradeswomen, more computer specialists and more people to become doctors and nurses, just to name a few. I hope that answer is helpful to you.
All the best from Melbourne.
Rob

Rob,
Another illuminating podcast on Australian culture and practices. You reveal the importance of the supermarket as a hub of social interaction which is so important to the health and well-being of Australians.
Thanks,
Chris
