Hi Leon,
Many thanks for your comment and your positive feedback. It is greatly appreciated,
I am glad that my podcast brought back some good memories for you. Having students from so many countries and cultures must really make for some very interesting interactions and a lot of new learning by everyone. You can never stop learning in this world, in my humble opinion.
Best regards,

Hi Rob,

I attended the AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) for about one year, from 2022 to 2023.
It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. As you mentioned in the podcast, we had more than thirty students in our class, which was Level Three — the top level, and the only one at that time in the school.

I remember that the students came from so many different countries and regions. Let me list them: China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, and Australia.

It was so funny that we even had two students from Australia! That’s another story I’ll tell in the future. With so many students from different cultural backgrounds studying in one classroom, you can imagine how dramatic it was!

Listening to this podcast brought back all those beautiful memories. It was amazing.
Thank you, Rob, for your work.

Hi, Sir Rob, How are you? I’m Tashi Dorjee Karshung and from Tibet. I’m one of student at Navitas Canberra. I listened to your podcast number 156 in the morning session. I apparently saw your photos for the first time today. I’m so glad to see your photos.
Our teacher, Ma’am, Denn Penman let us listen to your podcast a lot. I am always happy to listen to your podcasts because your podcasts’ topics are related to daily life and easy to understand. Whatever, your podcasts are helpful to my learning journey.
Thank you,
Sir.

Hi Lisa,
Many thanks for another very interesting comment. Well written! I appreciate your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you and your husband Frank at Swinburne. I am impressed that you got 90% on the quiz. Well done! Also impressive is your checking of new vocabulary words in the dictionary. That's how you grow your speaking vocabulary.
Yes, the photo of the kangaroos was a classic moment for me. Those kangaroos don't realise it but they are the stars of Slow English!
Best regards,
Rob

Hi Rob,
My English name is Lisa I am one of Lean’s students.I thank the teacher for inviting you, and we have an opportunity to learn how podcasts are made. The man who was talking with you in the second photo is my husband, named Frank. When I saw your 156 podcast, I was very excited and read it immediately. But I have about thirty-five new words, so I checked the dictionary to learn vocabulary. I really enjoyed 156 podcast . Because I'm a member of this podcast, I watched and listened to it three times. And I did the quiz, getting 90%. You are a great volunteer to record about Australian life, famous public landmarks, nice places, animals, sports, and other activities.I can continue to see your new and old podcasts, I’m your big fan. By the way, I want to say the picture of four kangaroos is a moment of brilliance that became a classic. cool!
Best Regards,

Many thanks for your comment. I appreciate your kind words about my podcast. I am glad that you have found my podcasts useful. To come to another country to live, especially one where you don't speak the language, must be very challenging. Your adventurous spirit and your determination to succeed are an inspiration to me. I wish you well for the future, and also in your English studies. I can tell from your comment that your English is already impressive. Well done!

Hi Rob,
I am a student of Leah, When Leah told us you would come to Swinburne having a report for us that day, I felt very exciting,Finally able to meet you and listen to you up close!
I followed your podcast to learn English in 2019, when I had just arrived in Australia, they are very interesting and useful, It not only improved my English, but also allowed me to understand the culture and customs of Australia, which is very useful for those of us who have just moved here. Thank you very much for your efforts over the years. I believe there are many fans like me who have been silently following you to learn but have never expressed their gratitude, I am so sorry!
I am also very grateful to Leah for inviting you to give a report for us, and I have also shared your photos with my family and friends. It is an amazing time!
Thank you so much, hope you and your family have a wonderful day,
