Many thanks for your comment. It pleases me that my podcast made you think of your mom. Perhaps she will find it amusing to see someone use a Tim Tam as a straw. It certainly is a fun way to eat these delicious biscuits.

Hi Rob,
My name is Richard, and I have lived on the Gold Coast since 2023. Whenever I come to Australia before and my family living in Australia comes to Korea, we always buy Tim Tams and distribute them to my mom, relatives, and neighbors. My mother, who is 90 years old and does not eat sweet foods now, liked to eat Tim Tams with coffee until recently. It was interesting to learn the methods to eat Tim Tams to suck some of warm drink. Rob, you reminded me of my mom. When I go to Korea this September, I will try eating it the way you taught me.

Hi Rob,
I just discovered your podcast yesterday on RedNote, a social media platform in China. While your podcast covers fascinating topics, it’s been great learning some fun facts about Australia! Thanks a lot for your sharing.

I’ve been looking for listening materials to improve my listening skills for a long time. But as you mentioned in Podcast 1, I found most of them are a bit fast to follow. I especially wanted to thank you for including the quizzes and vocabulary sections; those are incredibly helpful for solidifying what I’ve learned. Even though I made a lot of wrong choices.

Many thanks for your most interesting comment and your kind words about the podcast. I am glad that you tried out the Tim Tam Slam. It’s a bit of fun when eating a Tim Tam. I hope your grandchildren will also have fun using this chocolate flavoured straw!
I can also imagine that the word ‘most’ is probably a bit over the top, but when advertising biscuits in Australia, I would think nothing can be over the top!

Hi Rob,
What a another really interesting story about something unique to Australia. After reading it, I couldn’t wait to go to the supermarket and bought a pack of Tim Tam original biscuits to verify its taste and its ‘sipping’ function. Sure enough, as you said, it is the most delicious chocolate biscuits that I have ever tasted and the process of using a biscuit as a straw to suck hot milk is very interesting. I believe that in a few days, when my grandchildren play this amazing ‘Slam’ game, they will definitely enjoy it.
By the way, I saw such an advertisement slogan on its packaging, ‘THE MOST IRRESISTIBLE CHOCOLATE BISCUIT’ and this caught my attention a little because in Chinese advertisements, the word ‘most’ is usually not allowed to appear. This might be due to the differences in advertising laws between the two countries.
