Make sense Rob! That’s just the beauty of English. Now if I have to give the podcast another title, can I substitute ‘Relaxing and good fishing’ for ‘gone fishing’?

Many thanks for your comment. I look forward to each one. The title is indeed interesting. It’s an expression in English which is short for – ‘I have gone fishing.’ It also has an added meaning. It’s what you might write on a note left on your front door. It means not only that you have gone fishing, but also that you are not going to think about your problems or worries while you fish. Gone fishing! You can turn your brain off and just chill out.
I hope that makes sense.

Another great podcast! But I just read the title with incomprehension for a while. Why did you use the past participle gone here? Is it means great and mesmerizing?

Thanks for your comment. Your story is also a great fishing story. I hope you catch some fish on your line next time. But if you ask me why some people can catch fish and others can’t, I have no idea. Ha! Oh well, that’s fishing.

Hi Rob, I love this story. I can recall my only fishing experience in lakes entrance last Christmas, we got a power boat but didn’t catch any fish. Even we could see the other boats around us keep casting and receiving. But no luck for us, interestingly, we change a crab net and finally got a bunch of crabs together with a fish in crab net! What a hilarious experience, thanks Rob, wish you good luck in fishing next time!

I was seeking for a great references around English study, specially an Australian references.
I am student in Iranian architectural school at bachelor degree and I want to Apply for architecture master degree in Australian universities.

I can relate to the ‘getting sick’ in the boat while fishing Rob. I took the kids out on a fishing trip at Dromana and the same thing happened to me. They laughed all the way in!
