Hi Dep. That’s interesting. My wife and I recently had covid after avoiding it for 3 years. Luckily we are well vaccinated and overcame the illness without too much drama. We were also able to take anti-viral medicines which helped to reduce the severity of the disease. I hope you can continue to stay healthy.

Hi Rob! It’s Dep again. At present I’m still in China and a lot of people here have been infected with the virus for the second time recently. Fortunately, the symptoms of those people had a secondary infection were generally less severe than their first infection, and they also recovered quickly. I am lucky that I have not been infected with the virus so far, although I am fully prepared to accept it. The luck is probably due to the vaccine I got in Australia, which I believe is more effective than the Chinese vaccine. Let us all be good.

Hi Dep. Many thanks for your comment. The early days of the pandemic seem like a distant memory. We have learnt so much since then. Thanks for your kind comments about my podcast. Covid is still a dangerous disease and I feel thankful to have avoided being infected in that period prior to the vaccine becoming available. Let’s hope that the danger from covid continues to reduce.

Hi Rob,
As you, an eyewitness to the pandemic, who recreated the reality of the pandemic, detailed the mindset of the general public and the actions of the government at that time, as well as your own changes in understanding as the pandemic progresses. I think this podcast will become more and more valuable as time goes by and people gradually forget about this pandemic, because it provides a lot of context for future studies of this pandemic to a very large extent.
I bet that you have a good journaling habit to make this podcast possible. Thank you for the hard work.
