I am still reuniting with my aged mother in China until around March next year. In the meantime, I’m sure there won’t be see any platypuses, one of my favorite animals here, hehe.

Many thanks for your comment. Yes, seeing a platypus in the wild is one of my aims as well. I don’t think it is legal to keep a platypus a pet. I believe it would be extremely difficult in any case, as many sanctuaries find it a challenge to successfully keep them in captivity.

Hi Rob,
It is well worth giving a separate podcast about the one of the unique animals in Australia. Yes, animals are human best friends, and human beings are responsible for the extinction of many animal species.
I also hope one day a platypus, the cute little elf will be sighted by me in the wild in Queensland where I often live.
By the way, is it legal for individuals to keep platypuses as pets in Australia?
